2022 GENESIS GV70 Interior and exterior Walkaround - Luxury SUV | Mini Auto

The launch of the Genesis GV70 is an exciting one. Usually, automakers create some teaser hints and puzzling photos that culminate in the full reveal. Genesis simply published some GV70 photos in October without any context, then left us wondering about the specifics until yesterday when a proper reveal finally arrived. took place. Fortunately, all signs suggest it is worth the wait and disappointment.

Our first post explains it in detail, but with the coronavirus still ravaging the United States and the world, traveling to South Korea for scrutiny is not within the reach of most news outlets. However, Asian Petrolhead was lucky enough to get a long live visit with the new GV70 and the video above gives us a very detailed look at the small SUV from all angles.

The new 2022 GV70 will be the Genesis luxury brand's most colorful model, if American configuration is any indication. It will be offered in a variety of interesting exterior colors, including red, blue, green, and even some optional matte paint options. Now we also know more about the different 2.5T and 3.5T models that will be offered when this new compact crossover hits our shores later this year.

In addition to the usual white, black, silver and gray options, the GV70 colors that caught our attention the most were Cardiff Green and Barossa Burgundy. There are four matte colors available, including green, white, gray and the same burgundy. Interior options are also interesting, including red and blue leather options along with the expected black and beige colors.

The base GV70 2.5T, with its 300hp 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four, will be available in Standard, Select, Premium and Sport Prestige trim levels. The more powerful GV70 3.5T, featuring a 375-hp twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6, is offered in Standard, Enhanced Sport and Prestige Sport models. For now, all GV70s come standard with all-wheel drive, though it's possible the company will eventually offer a rear-wheel drive version.

Genesis has yet to announce pricing for this new model, but we estimate the 2.5T will start around $39,000 and the 3.5T will start around $44,000. Stay tuned for more information on this new crossover before it hits US dealerships later this year.

Despite being a compact SUV with a significantly sloping roofline, the video shows an impressive amount of space for rear passengers. Driving the GV70 can also be a treat, as the rear-wheel drive-based chassis is new and will offer optional all-wheel drive. At the front end, the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 will develop 375 hp (276 kilowatts), driven through a powertrain that provides a limited-slip differential and an electrically controlled suspension. death. In short, we can't wait to get behind the wheel of the GV70.

The GV70 will be Genesis' luxury SUV, and it may well be the most important vehicle in the young automaker's portfolio. It will soon launch for the Korean market, but will officially launch in the second half of 2021.
