2022 Hyundai Palisade - midsize crossover with 8 seater | Mini Auto

Starting price: $33,700

The Hyundai Palisade debuted in 2020 as an upscale midsize crossover with bold styling and loads of features. With it entering just its third model year, the 2022 Hyundai Palisade is expected to be a carryover model.

The current Hyundai Palisade boasts a long, sleek body with a striking look that experts have fawned over since its arrival. It features slim headlights, fanglike LED signature lighting, a bold chrome grille, powerful body lines, swooping taillights, light chrome accents, and more. It also boasts optional 20-inch wheels to enhance its upscale looks further. As a carryover model, we expect the 2022 Hyundai Palisade to carry on with the same looks.

The Palisade’s upscale looks continue inside with its light color options, plenty of silver accents, thin HVAC vents, a dash-top touchscreen, optional two-tone seats, a push-button transmission, and available quilted leather seats. We expect the 2022 Hyundai Palisade’s interior to remain the same.

The 2021 Hyundai Palisade’s standard features include an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, 18-inch wheels, eight-passenger seating, and cloth upholstery. Buyers can also opt for keyless ignition, 20-inch wheels, a dual-pane sunroof, a 10.3- or 12.3- inch touchscreen, Nappa leather upholstery, and more. We expect these features and options to remain the same in the 2022 Palisade.

The current Palisade’s powertrain includes a 3.8-liter V6 engine that pumps out 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This V6 engine mates with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Optionally, buyers can add all-wheel drive. We expect this powertrain to remain the same in the 2022 Palisade.

As for safety, the current Palisade comes standard with automatic emergency braking, active lane control, and rear parking sensors. SEL and higher trims include standard blind-spot monitors, a head-up display, a surround-view camera system, front parking sensors, and blind-spot cameras. The current Palisade is an IIHS Top Safety Pick thanks to “Good” ratings in all crash tests, “Good”-rated optional LED projector headlights, and “Superior”-rated standard automatic emergency braking. We expect these safety features and ratings to remain the same in the 2022 Palisade.

There is currently no on-sale date for the 2022 Hyundai Palisade. Based on previous release dates, we expect a summer 2021 arrival.

Pricing also remains unconfirmed, but with no significant changes on the board, we expect it to stay close to the 2021 Palisade’s MSRP range of $33,700 to $48,925 (destination fees included).
