Starting price: $37.499 USD

Fisker's Ocean electric SUV has been around for a long time. Announced in March 2019, the car debuted in prototype form at CES 2020.
Now, it looks like we'll finally be able to see it in production guise as Fisker confirmed the Ocean's global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17, 2021. Prototype production will begin this year and the Fisker Ocean will begin rolling off the assembly line at Magna's Graz facility in Austria on November 17, 2022.

Fisker Inc. recently shared its plans to debut its upcoming Ocean SUV during the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, taking place this November. Furthermore, the reborn EV automaker has also shared the schedule for the global "Brand Experience Hub", which is slated to roll out in the US and Europe in 2022.

Fisker Inc. ($FSR) is an EV startup based in the South Bay of Los Angeles and the second iteration of the Fisker name. CEO Henrik Fisker's original company, Fisker Automotive, went bankrupt and its assets were acquired by a Chinese auto parts consortium called Wanxiang Group, which quickly relaunched the company with called Karma Automotive.

Henrik Fisker retained the trademark and logo to form a new, separate company with a completely refreshed nameplate - Fisker Inc. Although the reincarnated Fisker company has yet to deliver a production car, it has announced two separate EVs in its plans.

Last month, Fisker announced a long-term agreement with contract manufacturer Magna International, which includes production of the Ocean SUV next fall.

Fisker previously announced a deal with Foxconn to produce its second electric vehicle, nicknamed "Project PEAR". This mysterious EV is expected to begin production in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Fisker's current focus remains on the Ocean EV, as it is set to launch slated for a fall this year in Los Angeles.

Fisker Inc. to expand the global brand experience starting in LA

In the same press release, Fisker also shared plans for global brand experience hubs. This first wave will begin with an inaugural venue in Los Angeles, followed by a European hub in Munich. Both are expected to open sometime in the first half of 2022.

These “Fisker Brand Experience Centers” will give curious consumers the opportunity to experience the automaker's vehicle(s) up-close and chat with venue experts. Fisker President and CEO, Henrik Fisker, shares his thoughts:

With less than 500 days left before the scheduled start of production of the Fisker Ocean, we are
while focusing on building a journey for its customers. Our brand experience centers will be the primary physical touchpoint for the majority of our potential customers. Our global rollout plans focus on the largest metropolitan areas for EV adoption - and where we can accommodate the largest number of our reservations."

In addition to Los Angeles and Munich, Fisker Inc. There are Brand Experience Centers planned for other major cities such as London, New York, Miami and Copenhagen. A second wave of brick and mortar placements is currently underway for the second half of 2022.
