Shockingly affordable… On the market since 2010 at a city car price, the Dacia Duster has shaken-up the SUV segment. A true revolution by Dacia! With over 1.9 million units sold, the Duster has been the No.1 in retail sales in its class in the Europe's SUV market since 2019. Back in June, Dacia unveiled the upgraded second-generation Duster, bringing subtle visual and technological updates to the popular B-SUV that has sold more than 1.9 million units since 2010. Sales of the Duster facelift start September 2021, and the Romanian company has just revealed the new Extreme Limited Edition.

This isn't the first time Dacia has revealed a special Duster. Before the Extreme, we had the 15-year limited editions, Techroad, SE Twenty, and Black Collector, all based on the second-generation model introduced in 2017. However, the Extreme is probably the version. most enjoyable, thanks to a host of visual tweaks and a well-equipped cabin.

True to its legacy, the New Duster remains a family SUV with a pioneering spirit. It is a companion for everyday use and for adventures in the open air. Its timeless design has evolved, especially in terms of the lights and grille, giving it a stronger personality and improved CO2 efficiency.

The Duster has orange accents on the grille, side mirrors, roof rails and tailgate combined with black-painted 17-inch aluminum wheels. This model comes in six different body colors, including Glacier White, Pearl Black, Comet Grey, Iron Blue, Arizona Orange, and Urban Gray pictured in the Extreme version only.

Inside, the car is equipped with a high center console with armrests, two multimedia systems with a new 8-inch screen and an automatic dual-clutch EDC transmission. As agile to drive as ever, the New Duster is available in 2WD and 4WD versions. The latest version boasts a rich 4×4 Monitor system.

We also find orange accents on the air intakes, door panels and center console. Seats and door tags are upholstered in fabric/TEP with orange stitching. While the Duster is synonymous with a great value proposition in the B-SUV segment, the Extreme Limited Edition is better equipped than you'd expect. Based on the top trim level “Prestige”, standard equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen with Media Nav infotainment (navigation, WiFi, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto), automatic climate control, head retractable hands, cruise control, two USB ports and four electronic windows.

The Duster Extreme retains the Duster AWD's 214 mm (8.4-inch) ground clearance and respectable off-road angles (30° approach, 21° breakout, 33-34° departure). Dacia doesn't reveal the engine that will be paired with the Extreme Limited Edition, but we're guessing it will be the most powerful variant in the range given its premium characterization.

Indeed, the presentation car comes with a 4WD badge on the front fenders, which means it's powered by a 1.5 dCi diesel that produces 113 HP (85 kW / 115 PS) or the more powerful 1.3 TCe petrol that produces 148 HP (110 kW / 150 PS) ) as those are the only engines available with all-wheel drive. A look inside reveals that the six-speed automatic transmission is only available in combination with the 1.3 TCe petrol.

The Duster Extreme's market launch is scheduled for 2022, and while we don't have word on availability, the Limited Edition name suggests there won't be many of them driving around. In the second half of 2022, Dacia will also unveil a larger C-SUV previewed by the Bigster concept, which will also be the first model to carry the brand's new logo, expanding the current range alongside the Sandero, Sandero Stepway, Logan
