2023 Mitsubishi Triton revealed, bearing many Outlander features

2023 Mitsubishi Triton will most likely have a diesel engine option with hybrid technology.

The first images of the 2023 Mitsubishi Triton during the test run were taken by Carscoops. The car has many design upgrades compared to the current generation.

The new Triton has a headline inherited from the Outlander. The positioning light cluster integrated with turn signal lights has a slim design, and the grille is also wider. The headlight design looks like it is placed lower.

Seen from the side, the new Triton feels more aggressive thanks to the change in wheel arch design. Page Carscoops commented that the 2023 Triton seems to have a longer wheelbase, which means that the cabin space will be more comfortable. The rear does not seem to have any significant upgrades.

The engine is still something that many people are interested in. It is not excluded that Mitsubishi will equip the new Triton with a diesel engine with hybrid technology.

2023 Mitsubishi Triton shares its platform with the next-generation Nissan Navara, thanks to the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.

Mitsubishi is said to be the leading developer of the Alliance's latest global mid-size pickups, although the interior and exterior styling of the pair will likely differ.

Whether this difference will be as drastic as the Mitsubishi Outlander and Nissan X-Trail, or just a slight change remains to be seen.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Triton is expected to be announced later this year or early 2023, ahead of a potential local launch in the second half of next year.
